Lillian Audrey Cauble
(27 May 1871 Hill County, Texas-29 October 1956; buried Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma), daughter of Mary Matilda Cason and Napoleon Bonaparte Cauble, had not reached her ninth birthday by 24 June 1880, when she lived with her mother and stepfather, James Cunningham, at their Stephens County farm. She was recorded as Mary on the 1880 U. S. Census. Lillian Audrey Cauble married John Dick Cross (18 July 1865 Arkansas-unknown; buried Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma), a farmer, on 11 July 1888 in Hill County, Texas. Four children were born to the couple while they lived in Texas. After migrating to Oklahoma, they had three additional sons. He married Ora Anna Warren (29 June 1888 New Mexico-10 July 1960; buried Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma) in 1910 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. She was age nine and lived with her parents and siblings on the family farm at Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, on 19 June 1900. Gertie may have had a learning disability because she was recorded as being unable to read, write, or speak English. He was fourteen, attended school, and worked on his family’s farm on 6 May 1910. He served in World War II. Dean Von Cross first married Ruth H. Leary (27 October 1900-18 November 1928; buried Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma) in 1920  in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Secondly, he married Jeffa Hunt (6 June 1903-20 January 1988; buried Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma) in 1930 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
