Jessie Loucinda Cauble & George Washington Wood
Jessie Cauble (1 April 1853 Hill Co, TX – 8 October 1923 Lea Co, NM) was the youngest child of Mary Eveliza Chaney and John W. Cauble. When Lou was fourteen, she married George Wood (25 December 1946 Hall Co, GA – 28 February 1934 Potter Co, TX), a Civil War veteran. The couple was married 56 years and had sixteen children, thwelve of whom were living in 1910. The family migrated from Texas to Oklahoma and on to New Mexico.
